Team17, Please fix your bugs, your players shouldn't have to troubleshoot your games. IMPORTANT: Be sure to save any other custom settings like button remapping and window size before doing this, or those changes won't save. This will make the game ask language every time you open, but won't crash anymore. Since the game is in eng by default, simple fix is removing the line entirely, and marking the file as read only. I tested it and it did not crash with other languages, only English. When the game records language choice as eng, it crashes the next time you start the game. I found the root of the bug, it's not anti-piracy like people are guessing, it's a simple bug in the settings.cfg file.
